Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD)

  • Drinking more or longer than intended
  • Trying to stop drinking but not being able to
  • Continuing to drink despite problems it may cause

At FutureSearch Trials, we conduct research studies for the treatment of Alcohol Use Disorder.

Alcohol Use Disorder is a medical condition where you find it hard to control your drinking—even when it negatively affects your everyday life. If you are between the ages 21 to 65 and have difficulty managing your drinking use and are motivated to do something about it, you may be eligible for a research study at our site.

What is Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD)

Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD) occurs when a person is unable to control or stop drinking despite negative consequences to their health, relationships, or daily responsibilities. People with AUD may struggle with cravings, withdrawal symptoms, and increased tolerance over time, making it harder to quit. Left untreated, AUD can lead to serious health problems, including liver disease and mental health issues. If you’re facing challenges with alcohol use, we encourage you to explore our study options and get the support you need.
